3 Reasons to Continue Corporate Events Entertainment in Our New Economy

Over the past 2 years the economy has meant many of us are cutting down on our events. Sometimes because our budgets are slashed and others because in such difficult times we cannot be seen to be holding lavish events. So how do we go about seeking corporate events entertainment in a way that is ‘acceptable’ right now? There are some really important reasons that some of the smarter companies in the world are recognising and carefully crafting events around.1. Staff moral. Many companies are downsizing, making redundancies and outsourcing entire departments. What happens when the word ‘Redundancy’ is heard on the shop-floor? Waves of panic flow through our workforce. In turn, what happens to our staff when they’re in a state of limbo such as this? Their moral drops. Their minds turn to thinning ‘why should I work hard when I might be out of a job next month?’ So we end up with a severe fall in productivity. The last thing we need in an economic state such as the one we find ourselves in right now is low levels of output and/or poor quality workmanship from our staff.A great way of combating low staff moral is to show them that they are appreciated. Holding events for staff to give them a ‘pat on the back’ increases their feelings of goodwill and positivity. Which, as we already said, breeds productivity.2. Customer Panic. As a customer of your company how would you feel if you noticed cut-backs? Uncertainty starts to manifest itself and worry sets in. When customers become worried they start seeking out alternative sources for our services. Many of the smartest companies are holding customer appreciation events to celebrate the loyalty of their customers and create stronger bonds with the people who keep them in business.3. Public Relations. Holding a company bash allows for a nice press release, photographs and general good feeling in the press. This leads to an outward perception of growth and robustness. If you have spent some money on corporate events entertainment for your staff, customers and/or shareholders then you are allowing the press to see a glimmer of light in the tunnel that we seem immersed in.Of course, selecting the correct entertainment is central to the whole thing. If you assign budget to something like this, it is vitally important that the money is not wasted.
